SPRING 2008
Next meeting: February 7 at 2:45 in the lab in the basement of the Amarillo Art Museum. We will be making Valentines cards to sell the week before Valentines. Bring your art materials (like pencils, scissors, exacto knives, stamping supplies, stencils, brushes, photo references for Valentines, ect.), and Art Club will supply the paper, envelopes, paint, and snacks.
We need volunteers to sell our Valentines cards during the week of Valentines: Monday, Feb 11 and Tuesday, Feb 12 in the CUB at the table between the bookstore and the cafeteria from 11:30 am to 1 pm. Pleases contact me if you can sell cards in front of the CUB during lunchtime.
February 15 - we are having a Valentines party at Western Bowl (5120 Canyon Dr. Amarillo, TX 79109 (806) 359-5211) from 9-11pm - bring Valentines cards to exchange, and bring $12.00 for bowling. We will also meet for pizza before bowling at the Pizza Hut on Western (5101 South Western Street, Amarillo, TX 79109) at 7:30pm - this is on Art Club!
Plans are in the works to go to Dallas in March of 2008. Times and details to be announced. Let me know if you are interested in the trip. A small deposit will be required, as well as signing permission slips.
April 14 - Carol Flueckiger (art teacher at Texas Tech) will be speaking here about her work, giving student critiques, and conducting a small workshop at Amarillo College. We will need volunteers to help set up her talk, reception, and workshop. Art Club will take Carol to dinner too.
