Art Club is a group of Amarillo College students, alumni, employees and faculty that meet bi-monthly to do Art related projects, discuss Art, sponsor and promote Art activities on campus and the community and participate in student activities.
Art Club sponsors visiting artists each semester, where lectures and workshops are given. Art Club members have the opportunity of converse privately and have portfolio reviews by the artists. Art Club members also have the opportunity of exposing their work in the community on group shows or galleries in town.
Art field trips are just a part of all what we do, we also have social events like free bowling nights and parties!
You do not need to be an art major to join, only an interest and enthusiasm for art is required!
Our regular meetings are the first and third Thursday of each month during the semester, from 2:45 pm - 3:30 pm in Russell Hall, room 124 (the Art Office). Sometimes we will have meetings at the Amarillo Art Museum - to be announced.
