We had a great time on our trip to Lubbock in November for the Dia de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) art tour.Carol Flueckiger (art teacher at Texas Tech University) hosted us at her studio, and we saw lots of wonderful artwork on the tour. Badgerama was April 26, 2007 from 11am to 2pm in the park.
Since this years theme is carnival, we decided to do an old fashioned freak show, and other typical carnie performances and stunts. We just had a blast at Badgerama! Art Club had a great freak show, complete with a belly dancer, lizard woman, bearded lady, and a man eating chicken!
The trip to Santa Fe was a great success!!! See the photos of the trip. I have made a video of our trip on the Videos page. We saw a variety of art at Shidoni Art Gallery and Foundry, the Museum of Fine Art - Santa Fe, art galleries in Santa Fe, and the Museum of International Folk Art, as well as the studio of artist James Roybal. The Los Pingous concert at the Lensic Theater was amazing, as well as the beauty of Bandelier National Monument. Thanks to all of those who attended.
